I love this watch. The 12, 3, 6, and 9 markets are illuminated but the hands are not. I read the review before me that noted this, and thought, how bad can it be? It’s bad. You can’t even remotely tell the time in a dark room. This is a daytime watch only. It looks great and functions well otherwise.

The watch is very comfortable and fits very nice with both bands. However there is no lum at all on any of the hands and in low light or dark situations this watch is absolutely totally useless. I am a police officer that works many night shifts and this watch would never ever be able to be something I can wear and rely upon and at this point is only a novelty because it says Glock.

It's a durable, solar, watch so it's great for a lot of things. However, after much searching the Glock team finally confirmed that watch bands other than what comes with it do not exist.

Love the watch but if only Glock made a blacked out version with glowing hands and a black silicone band the same style this one is, that would be ideal. I'd definitely buy a couple of those.

Low contrast, low visibility watch hands against watch face make it hard to tell time, microscopic day of week number is useless unless you carry a magnifying glass, otherwise ergo, battery and function ok, 1 star in display and readability 5 on everything else = 3stars, picture of watch face should be looked at carefully at least there is no zoomed view misleading further, this could be a great watch with a minor tweak or two, say bigger, florescent hands

I have one of the first few watches that came out so I guess now they are gen1. But anyways, every time I had a chance I would give you a picture and a recommendation that your next batch needed to have some illumination! When I say some I mean at least SOME!!! You can hold the face of the watch to the strongest light you have forever and go in pitch black and you still get NOTHING!! I am a what they would call a fan boy just because of how many items of yours I own but to see the new watch with just a different color band and a tin instead of a green gun case I can't get myself to buy one yet!! Maybe if the gen 3 you listen to me and hopefully everyone else. Shoot safe!!

I have a similar watch by Citizen for around $100. The face is solar and charges the watch. And it has hands and hour markers to indicate the time in the dark.

The design and features of the watch are both great, except for one thing: the watch hands don’t illuminate, making the watch essentially useless at night or when working in dark areas. If it weren’t for this massive oversight, the watch would be perfect.
